Its a really good work! it excels in its simplicity but aswell not, the goal is there from the very start, but the path to the goal is thorny n complicated and beautiful. the path of the protagonist is really nice. For me the best part of this story is the side of evil n righthous, most novels have really simple way of potraying whos evil whos not. here, its not that easy to tell instantly, and most importantly, our MC treads path of rightous revenge which perhaps might just be really nice to me since i have recently read few stories with evil MC, and this is a reallyy nice change from that, especialy since MC isnt too nice, but definetly righthous, quoting the story "i dont plan to walk the path of a hero, but neither do i plan to stray from the path of a human" because of works like absolute regresion novel which also are incredible and seemingly simple righthous revenge but done better, i have to give it a 4/5. a incredible work nontheless.

One of the best stories I have read on this site, I would put it 2nd in my all time greats after Kidnapped Dragons. Don't know why this novel isn't that hyped up or got that many views on this site, it may be relatively short but it still took me 2 to 3 days to fully read. There is romance in this, but only really in the second last chapter so if you hate annoying fls, then you will love this, and if you are a fan of romance, you won't be too let down either

Exhilarating story. I couldn’t stop reading until I realised I had finished it. I was so impressed by the courage shown by Lead. It was really touching to see the hard work and dedication that Lead put into achieving their goals. The story was truly inspiring and left me feeling motivated to pursue my own dreams with the same level of determination. Lead's journey was a reminder that anything is possible with perseverance and a strong belief in oneself.

Has a great story and the side-cast is developed enough where it doesn't seem they just in the background. The story contains some profound messages which aren't regularly seen in Murim novels. It strays a bit from the typical Heavenly Demon novel.

It's a good read, especially since you'll be able to finish it in a few days, the author was always direct with the MC's objective, revenge, at the end of it all, he managed to explain what happened well, although the ending was a little too quick . Overall, it's a good story, worth reading.

Moreover, all the important characters have development, the plot just go crescendo with no fillers. it was a fun, cute reading. (not that the story is cute) MC has one goal, and is doing everything to achieve it. Delayed gratifacation works irl too so don’t be too dejected when smth doesn’t go your way instantly, just persevere like our protagonist

I read this before somewhere else, and I also read the manhwua, I will say this, it's a good novel, it use the clasics tropes with good execution, it has good plot elements and well done characters, however, is hard to read if you are not so used to Korean. I usually don't read korean novels with only korean names since it's hard to keep track, this is why, I prefer the manhwua, the illustration is good, but it's faster paced, so you will miss some lore, but get cool battle visuals. Overall, if you prefer illustrated battles and don't mind missing some content, read the comic, but if you prefer reading novels, do well with foreign names and have a interest on the deep of a story plot, read the novel.

It’s one of the few murim that I feel actually make sense, no absurd power up or system. The Mc is smart, like really smart and most of everything he does is logical. The only major fault I have with this series is the under developed side characters.

93 chapters and nothing special. I am reading this after reading the primordial record. And after experiencing the huge as* plot of that novel, this seems tiny. More than 90 chapters and I see nothing that captures my interest. The story is fine, with slight drama and logic. But I just can not bear the plain and boring plot. But definitely give it a try.
