    Okay since my last comment, it had been 29 days until I finished it. Ngl, although I have read many and many novels, I have barely finished most of them. Barely 5 novels with this one. As for some real and a viewpoint of a reader who had only read it straight without any break at all, which is me, this novel is simply amazing. Happy and satisfying ending, good side characters, world building, power-system ( Man I love it very much) and plot. This novel is simply a manifestation of Emotion. When you read, it means you’re diving through happiness, sad, grief, anger, pain, frustration and many more. For negative side which I only saw and hate. I will say this and anyone can dislike me however they want. I have freedom to voice my opinion after all. First of all, I hate the mc and like him at the same time. Tho I hate more. His personality and mindset are truly disgusting and frustrating. That’s it. Ofc if u ask me if u should read or not, go ahead. Don’t be hesitated

      Don’t forget Kill the Sun for last. It’s honestly such a satisfying accumulation of Warmaisach’s writing experience throughout his previous novels. Also since I’m assuming you’re a new reader, Warmaisach is not for the faint of heart. Especially Kill the Sun.

        Yeah I’m already determined to read that sword god or shang dude whatever after this. I’m currently on chapter 688 in this novel and I can tell you that I’m nearly emotional damaged and about to become some sh*t philosopher while reading it lol

    wow finished this novel of 1328ch and i must say i enjoyed the story very much.The ending was good.The death hit really.The charachter development it fantastic.The side charachters fantastic as well.i have only a few minor problems that are with the highest world or with the evolutions that just finished at the immortal rank,but well minor problems. but all in all a 9,5/10.

        well,he had a choice on the middle world,he must have 3 divine beast children or 1000 normal beast to advance towards the next realm because that was middle worlds heavenly rule,without it you cant advance to the next realm.So yeah kinda unwanted but accepted it later.

    To New Readers, Lightning is the only way is the First book of the Author. The Second Book of the author is Sword God in a world of magic,where the name of the mc is Shang,whose name you'll see in every chapter's comment section. Most of the people came to this novel after Sword god so you'll see people comparing both in every chapter comments. So this is just to let the new readers know that you might come across some spoilers of Sword god,and also people comparing both characters. Just try to ignore them and enjoy the story. Both books are very good and different from the usual xianxia cliches. Just remember that art is subjective,some things others like that you may not,and vice versa.

      The way you worded this makes it sound like the LITOW and SGIWOM are connected? I was under the impression that they weren't but haven't finished reading SGIWOM yet and haven't started this one, I was just wondering if you could expand a little on this and also if you know anything about KTS' connect with SGIWOM?

        LITOW and SGIAWOM are 100% connected anyone who says they aren’t is trolling but im REALLY not sure about KTS since its power system is much different and there are like four completely different types of energy that behave differently from anything i’ve seen in the other two novels olay spoilers on the four: there is Prephyx which exists everywhere on earth zephyx which is a type of refined prephyx which has a very high energy state and is made by specters through human suffering which is apparently a real force in KTS. Star energy which is naturally emited by stars through fission or smth and it destroys specters and is good for humans and finally pure energy… honestly im not sure what this one does but it isn’t the energy/mana from the other two novels at all.

        Yes,they are connected. Just think of it like this: There are a lot of universes in this verse and both novels cover one of the universes each. So they are part of a greater whole. Also i haven't read KTS yet but it is also probably covering one of the universes of the greater whole so we can expect some cameos in the finale.

    I swear to god bruh every chapter have the same comments about shang this shang that,sword god etc. Please stop spoiling both novels for other readers. Also stop comparing both the characters,they're meant to show different approach to the same goal.
