Chapter Lenght: 1700 - 2000 words but usually are even longer
Warning: The MC is not an hero nor an anti-hero. He is a broken, cynic and misanthropic person looking only for his own gain. If you are looking for a forgiving, nice, MC that goes around saving people in distress, this is not your cup of tea.

MC isnot broke, is just plain stupid making the same mistake over and over again, sometimes developing without reason and then taking 3 steps back...kinda annoying

Does anyone feel like this novel has become more like a Soap-opera now?

those who want to know to read this or not: this is not just a fantasy novel, but more like the biography of a fantasy character. we don't only see them be the mc, always making perfect choices and have everything go perfect, get the girl of their dreams, have a life of non-stop battle and adventure, etc... we see the life of a traumatized kid who grows cold hearted, dies and resurrects in a fantasy world and continues living there however he can, making mistakes and using the opportunities presented to him the best someone with HIS mentality could, and growing in response to this new world and environment, changing thanks to the people around him. we don't just see his life when something cool or amazing is happening, but all of it, even the "boring" days when he just chills with his loved ones, takes a vacation or how he enjoys his time eating breakfast with his loved ones. in my oppinion, those that say this is bad or boring are those that expected a normal fantasy novel.

"the girl of their dream", i do not care who you mean by this but for all i know and care, Solus will and always be Lith best girl and the author decision to pair him with a random girl he meet on a job he only take temporary is weird and extremely unfair to the reader after so much build up of them being a pair together.

I love the decision on the relationship between lith and Solus. That would be a dead end for the story. Lith will probably survive until the story end. Solus can't die. That would be so boring. Cause there can't be drama, there can't be great danger cause both have to much plot armor. A novel needs conflicts and solith have zero conflict potential as lovers. Maybe kami isn't the best, but everyone is better than Solus for lith.

forgive the rant, i don't mean disrespect, it's just how i talk about things i'm passionate about, whatever they may be. i tend to talk too long about them. it's just, the way i see it, the author is trying to create a life like story with realistic people here and the drama, romance, and even the fantasy element are not the main ideas most of the time. as i said, it's more biography than fantasy novel, so being so stubborn because of a ship that sank, i just don't understand, well i do to an extent but come on. the novel doesn't deserve to be bombarded with negativity because of it. i don't say keep it to yourself like i do, just try to be fair and don't be biased because one thing didn't go how you wanted.

the relationship isn't the only thing that the author messed up, if it was just the relationship alone i could still endure it and keep reading but nope, author just had to go and get his stupid m*r*n brother back and let him kill all of the fan favourite character in the most humiliating way possible and then process to give mc no way to deal with him. All because of what, because his brother got Night and just because of that he is now even stronger than mc? that b*llsh*t and you know it.

He probably killed a lot of fan favorites. But they all become "useless" for story. Most of them were never mentioned after their arc was over. Except for Manohar, but this character got so flat later on. Probably the end he deserved

i agree. it is. i can see what the author was going for, a villain that is the exact opposite of the hero, instead of earning power chances upon it and borrows it, has sh*tty relationship with the one he is connected to, is not motivated and connected by need but desire and still can't build good connections with others etc. i can see it but i admit it wasn't done as good as it could be. tho i believe him being annoying is intentional, he is supposed to be despised both in world and by us after all, the problem is in a story with so many good and realistic "people", this one stands out as the "character" of the annoying villain and feels unrealistic in comparison, even if you don't try to compare or think about it. if he was the antagonist of one of those murim or usual magic fantasies he might have fit, here he is just too much.

that is literally the kind of thing that happens in real life. i've seen these things happen. "unfair"? yes. unthinkable and unrealistic? ABSOLUTELY NOT. love doesn't give a sh*t about "temporary job", and he spent around four years doing it, with her sometimes being the only familiar, voice he could hear(minus solus), and it's not they only ever talked business. we literally read that they tried to have a friendly relationship because they were practically stuck together so why not make the best of it and from there it developed. i understand your ship didn't work and you are sad, i shipped him and phloria too, but you have to understand relationships don't follow ships. i've seen people ship real life people and then get mad that didn't work out and i find this as ridiculous as that. lith already said him and solus can't be a thing so long as she needs him, and he couldn't wait for her or phloria for mogar knows how long wishing for a happily ever after. you need to understand that.

Yeah I kinda half heartedly kept reading after that. Take long breaks and comeback and never read enough to catch up. Was a real kick in the d*ck to be honest.

I stopped reading when I caught up when it was 1586, anyone know if it's worth picking back up? I see the ratings have gone down a lot and a 3.9 isn't promising

Depends on what you want. The story is about lith as he mature. So if you want to see a mature lith it's worth. If you want the early ruthless kid than probably not. The rating is in my opinion irrelevant as you can see other novels with "masterpiece" "great world building" comments which can't even compare to the world of supreme magus. In my opinion the average user want to have bigger, better, more the whole novel. Every arc must be more awesome. MC must reach a tier, s tier, ssssssss-tier... We don't have it in supreme magus. Here we get slow character progression with a clear limit.

Not really. Since around chapter 1886 when he got married story has become more like a slice of life trash, full of family reunions and sweet lovely talks that make you want to puk.e and catch diabetes.

Author split his chapters cause of webnovels price philosophy. So it's more like 1700 chapters. Still a lot I know 😄. Should be in it's last quarter, as there isn't much more arcs to explore.

Nah author doesn't know how to end the novel so he keeps dumping bad drama to waste word count and chapters. Besides I was reading other novels, and something that is common in "top" novels is how most of MCs actually works their a*ses to get strong while Lith... Well he yet have to deal with his bad past life somehow

At what point does it get good? Or when does MC stop being such a narrow minded child?

honestly in my opinion the story is at it best from the beginning up untill his stupid brother came back and kill all of fan favorite character despite him being an absolute m*r*n with no power.

Garbage novel, this is like reading/watching one piece but instead of a funny mc we have an 40 year old manchild in a child's body, throwing tantrums.
