Update as of Chapter 781: A solid trashy novel, perfect for passing time. The character development and world-building are surprisingly good, adding depth to the story. However, the plot feels like a Bermuda Triangle—messy, unpredictable, and occasionally nonsensical. It’s entertaining if you don’t take it too seriously, making it a fun, guilty pleasure read.

Guys if you find errors and maybe some plot holes when reading here it’s because they haven’t been corrected like in the WebNovel version. Please read there if you arent just too financially strained to support the Author 🙏

Can someone help me? I stopped reading this novel for over a year now and want to pick it up again cuz there is just nothing else to read. Can someone please tell me which chapter was the one where he dressed up his workers then sent them to the war on the order of the henali? I don't really recall the details but that should be the chapter that I dropped the novel.

I’m up to date with The Innkeeper (Chapter 1409) and wanted to share my thoughts. Overall, I recommend it. While it’s a cultivation novel with familiar tropes, it often uses them for comedy rather than relying on clichés like “eat a pill, slap a young lord, fight his family.” The Inn serves as an excellent central plot device, enabling smooth transitions between adventures while logically supporting the MC’s growth. Most events have explanations, maintaining suspension of disbelief. The novel excels at epic moments—when the MC is serious, the tension feels earned. The comedic elements are genuinely enjoyable, and the MC, while flawed, feels well-rounded. The writing is solid; slow chapters exist but rarely detract from the overall story. There’s no shallow harem trope, and the potential FML has depth. Side characters are fun and meaningful. It’s not perfect, but it’s absolutely worth the read. If you have questions, feel free to ask!

Quick question, do fml nd MC ends up together or like she's just there nd MC is dense without any idea or something like that?

The potential female lead either has no feelings for the mc currently or she hides them extremely well. (first is more likely) Mc isn't dense.

When I began to read this book I was wondering why in the hell it was outside of the top 10. The longer it has progressed the more I find my eyes rolling at simple overlooks of the author and his ability to drag an arc entirely too long. The MC personality has gotten worse and he essentially no different from the typical 3rd generational young master archetype. Almost everything he has is either given to him by the system or some super plot armor from the writer. Yet his disposition is as if he’s earned it with his own two hands. The gross disrespect to extreme high level beings will never make sense in any novel. Every last one of them to get to their position are apex predators. In any logical sense they would just thump him crushing his entire being. Waiting on whatever mysterious backing he has to address them afterwards. And in this case it would be no one so he’d be dead just like every other amazing person from hubris. Ultimately this book is tolerable but slowly gets worse.

I am with you, I like the novel but you are right with all you are saying he have a very Bad temper and if WE remember one of his oracle he dead in earth because of the tumor without the system.

To be fair, dao lords can’t touch him or else they will ruin their investment in the realm, and lower tier ppl wont attack him at the Inn because his backed by a “dao lord”. The only time they can get their hands on him is when his out of it which then is hard since he has multiple stuff hiding him. I agree with other stuff you said tho, personality wise I’m just used to it, not rly a downside or an upside it’s hard to find novels where you 100% agree with every decision the mc makes.

I actually think the story is borderline unbearable near the beginning and only picks up after some time, getting good after chapter 500 and really good around 1000

I wouldn't say it ever gets "really good" but it is still better than the dog sh*t that 99.99% of webnovels are.

Read till the latest. Loved it. It's everything I wanted in a novel. I like how author explores everything there is to light novels. I'm stacking for now and will be back after another 100 chaps.

Stacking is a bad idea if you like this novel unless you have a good memory. There are so many characters in this novel that you would forget a few of them after a month or two. I definitely forgot a few haha.

Don't recommend! Early on the author makes a point about not being cliché, yet not even 100 chapters in and the story gets convoluted in every possibly way and it only gets worse. 0/5
